Installation Instructions
In this guide, we answer the most common questions: how to apply window film to a window, how to attach film to glass, how to apply one-way mirror film and how to install reflective window film on a window.
A simple and quick way to install window film yourself, with step-by-step instructions.
How to prepare for applying window film to a window?

Measure the width and height of the glass carefully, from gasket to gasket. It is best to measure in several places.
Then cut the film according to your measurements, or order cut-to-size film pieces in our store by providing the dimensions.
Wash the entire surface thoroughly with glass cleaner, including the gaskets.
Spray the glass with plenty of water mixed with glass cleaner.
Using a scraper or a new razor blade, clean the glass thoroughly but gently to avoid scratches. Clean the glass ONLY WHEN IT IS WET.
Using a sprayer filled with a prepared solution of window film installation fluid, mist the glass generously.
Use a window squeegee to remove the entire solution from the glass, including water mixed with installation fluid.
Then mist the glass again with the sprayer.
How to apply window film to glass?

Separate the window film by removing the protective liner that protects the adhesive. At the same time, generously mist the adhesive side of the main film.
Once the film is positioned, mist it generously with the solution made with window film installation fluid.

Use the Blue Max squeegee with a handle to press the water out from the centre towards the edges. Repeat this until all water has been removed. For hobby installation, we recommend the orange squeegee, which is a cheaper but less professional option.

Using a ruler and a knife, trim the film so that a small margin remains between the film and the gasket. Use a new knife blade.
Gently wipe the film with a lint-free towel.
The window is ready, with the film properly installed.
Tip
Window Film Installation
Window film consists of two layers: the main film with adhesive and the protective liner. The best way to separate them before installation is to use pieces of adhesive tape and begin separating the layers from one corner of the film.
