LCD smart window film (PDLC) is a modern solution that allows you to change glass from transparent to matte with one click of a remote control.
Our offer includes two types of LCD film designed for different applications:
- Self-adhesive LCD film with adhesive, installed directly on existing glazing and windows.
- LCD lamination film for glass, used as an element permanently placed between glass panes.
Both solutions provide privacy on demand.

What Is PDLC Film (Smart Film) and How Does It Work?
PDLC film, which stands for Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal, is a type of smart film that can change from transparent to opaque and back again.
The film consists of two polymer layers in which liquid crystals are dispersed. Applying electrical voltage changes the orientation of the liquid crystals and therefore changes the light transmission through the film. When there is no power, the crystal structure scatters light, creating a matte glass effect. When voltage is applied, the crystals align and the film becomes transparent, providing clear visibility.
PDLC film is often used to produce smart windows, as well as elements of security systems and burglary protection solutions. It can also be used as a material for interactive projection and for producing touch screens.
Applications of PDLC LCD Film
PDLC LCD film has many applications in public and private spaces. It is used, among others, in hospitals, medical offices, healthcare rooms, offices, conference rooms, car showrooms and other commercial buildings. It is also increasingly used privately, for example in houses and apartments, providing comfort and privacy.

Other Film Applications
- Smart windows – PDLC films are often used to produce smart windows that allow transparency to be changed using electrical voltage. This makes it possible to control the amount of light passing through the window.
- Projection screens – PDLC films are also used as materials for interactive projection because they allow images to be displayed quickly and easily.
- PDLC films are also used as elements of security and discretion systems, because their opaque state can be achieved quickly and easily by changing electrical voltage.
