Dual projection film is a specialist film that allows the image to be viewed simultaneously from both sides of the screen. This gives a distinctive visual effect that is difficult to achieve with a standard single-sided projection surface.

The screen construction for Dual film is different from typical adhesive projection films. The film is placed between two transparent panels, such as glass or acrylic. Because the active projection layer is present on both sides, Dual film does not contain adhesive.

How a Dual projection screen is built

The transparent panels may be glass or acrylic. Acrylic can be particularly useful where safety requirements do not allow glass surfaces, for example in public events or temporary information screens.

A major advantage of Dual projection film is the strong brightness of displayed images and the possibility of creating very large projection surfaces. If the intended screen is wider than the roll width, the film can be joined using its factory edges.

There is no length limit in the product concept: it is possible to purchase the required number of running metres in one section. This allows the screen to be adapted to the size of the location and the planned visual effect.

What is needed to create a Dual projection screen?

To use Dual film, you need the film itself, two transparent panels, a projector and a source of the image, such as a computer, media player, USB drive or another compatible device.

After the screen is prepared, the projector displays content onto the Dual film. The unusual advantage is that the image can be viewed on both sides, making the display useful for advertising, information and presentation projects where one-sided projection is not enough.
