Grey Rear Projection Film – Lite Solar
Grey rear projection film is a specialist projection window film that turns a pane of glass, acrylic or another transparent surface into a practical rear projection screen. The projector is placed behind the film, while the image is viewed from the opposite side, making the solution especially useful for shop windows, showrooms, exhibitions and information displays.
The Grey version is designed to display a clear image with high contrast, increased perceived brightness and a very wide viewing angle. It allows the screen to become part of the glazing itself, so there is no need to install a classic freestanding or cassette projection screen in front of the viewer.
Main advantages of Grey rear projection film

High contrast: supports a clear and readable image on the projection surface.

High gain: helps increase the brightness of the projected image compared with a standard untreated surface.

Wide viewing angle: the image can be viewed from a very large angle, up to 180 degrees according to the original product information.
How the film works
The film works by scattering and reflecting the light emitted by a projector positioned behind the screen. When applied to glass or a transparent plastic surface, it creates a visible projection area while keeping the installation slim, modern and integrated with the surrounding architecture.
This makes Grey projection film for glass a useful solution wherever the projector needs to be hidden from the viewer, for example inside a shop, behind a display area or behind a glass partition. The viewer sees the message on the front side of the glass, while the equipment remains on the other side.
Applications
Rear projection film Grey is suitable for advertising, information and presentation displays where a standard screen would be too bulky or visually distracting. It can be used wherever glass or transparent surfaces are already part of the space.
- Shop windows and retail displays: for promotions, opening hours, product launches and dynamic visual content visible from the customer side.
- Showrooms and sales points: for product presentations, brand messages and multimedia displays integrated into glass partitions.
- Offices and conference rooms: for glass-wall presentations, reception displays and meeting room information screens.
- Trade fairs and events: for temporary information points, exhibition stands and eye-catching screens without a traditional frame.
- Museums, galleries and public interiors: for digital signage, visitor information and visual storytelling on glass surfaces.
Flexible screen size and shape
A major advantage of projection film is the freedom to create a screen in the size and shape required by the project. The film can be cut to the chosen format, and where a larger surface is needed, strips can be joined using their factory edges.
The length is not limited in the same way as a ready-made framed screen. It is possible to order the required number of running metres in one section, which makes the film useful for both smaller displays and large-format projection surfaces.
What is needed for projection?
To create a functional rear projection screen, you need projection film, a projector and a device that provides the image signal, such as a computer, media player, USB source or another compatible image source.
As with every projection system, the final effect depends on the projector, image source, screen size and ambient lighting conditions. The film gives the projection surface, while the projector and content source define the brightness, resolution and type of displayed material.
