How Eco-Termic thermal insulation film works

Eco-Termic is a low-emissivity thermal insulation film. It is installed on the interior side of the glass and supports a reduction in heat transfer through the window. In practice, this helps keep more warmth inside the room during winter.

The film is especially useful in rooms where windows are a weak point in the building envelope, such as older houses, apartments, offices, service premises, public buildings and other interiors where replacing the glazing is not the preferred solution.

Thermal camera comparison

The comparison below shows the principle of operation of thermal insulation film. The test was carried out on two panes in the same external door: one pane was covered with Eco-Termic thermal insulation film and the other pane was left without film.

The thermal image clearly shows that the pane covered with thermal insulation film has a higher surface temperature than the pane without film. In the test, the temperature of the glass with film was 19.5°C, while the temperature of the glass without film was 13.8°C. The measured difference was 5.7°C.

This difference illustrates how Eco-Termic can help reduce heat loss through the glass and support a more comfortable indoor environment in winter, especially where the glazing is older or less efficient.
