Frosted Window Film with Air-Release Channel Adhesive
Frosted Lite Solar window film with channel adhesive is a decorative and privacy-enhancing self-adhesive film for smooth glass surfaces. Its milky matte finish diffuses daylight and limits direct visibility into the room while keeping the interior naturally bright.
The key feature of this film is the air-release channel adhesive. It allows the material to be installed either wet or dry. During dry installation, the adhesive channels help air escape from under the film, making the process easier and more forgiving than with many standard adhesive films.
Frosted privacy with easier installation
Channel adhesive contains microscopic air paths that help release trapped air during application. This reduces the risk of visible bubbles, supports positioning and allows correction before the film is finally pressed down.
The film is intended for interior use in homes, offices and service premises where privacy is needed without replacing the glass or installing blinds.
How does the channel adhesive work?
The adhesive layer includes a fine network of air channels. When the film is applied to the glass, air can move through these channels instead of staying trapped below the surface. This helps make the film easier to align and press into place.
- Lower risk of air bubbles during installation.
- Easier positioning before the final pressure is applied.
- Correction possible during installation if the film is placed unevenly.
- Wet or dry application, depending on the installation method preferred by the user.
The film can be lifted and repositioned only during installation, before final squeegeeing. After the film has been pressed down and left until the next day, we do not recommend removing and reapplying it because the final result may no longer look as neat.
Privacy level and light transmission
The film creates a frosted glass effect: it scatters light and makes it difficult to recognise details on the other side of the glass. During the day, it helps protect the room from direct view while still allowing daylight to pass through.
This is not a blackout film and it is not a solar heat-control film. Its purpose is visual privacy and decorative glass finishing, not heat reduction. In the evening, when the interior is strongly lit, outlines of silhouettes may still be visible from the outside or from the other side of the partition.
Recommended applications
This frosted film is designed for smooth, non-porous glass surfaces. It works well as a permanent privacy solution where roller blinds or curtains are not wanted.
- bathroom and bedroom windows,
- glass doors and glass partitions,
- shopfronts and service premises,
- office partitions and conference rooms,
- decorative glass elements.
The film may be used on single glazing and insulated glass units from the interior side. It is intended for indoor installation.
Installation and removal notes
The film can be removed mechanically from glass. After removal, a layer of adhesive may remain and may need to be cleaned from the surface.
It can be used in a bathroom if it is installed on a smooth glass surface. It should not be applied directly to areas constantly exposed to pressurised water, for example inside a shower cabin without additional edge protection.
The material can be trimmed with a utility knife during installation to match the size of the glass.
