Interior Anti-Fog Window and Mirror Film – Lite Solar

Interior Anti-Fog Window and Mirror Film – Lite Solar is a clear interior film designed to reduce fogging on mirrors and glass in rooms with increased humidity. It is intended for places where periodic water vapour condensation makes glass surfaces harder to see through or use comfortably.

The film is transparent and, after installation, remains visually discreet on the surface. It can be used on mirrors, glass panes and selected smooth plastic surfaces, provided that the surface is properly prepared for film installation.

How does anti-fog film work?

Fogging on a mirror or glass pane is caused by condensation. Water vapour in the air settles on a cooler surface as tiny droplets. These micro-droplets scatter light and create the familiar milky fog effect.

Anti-fog film changes the way moisture spreads across the glass surface. Instead of forming visible droplets, the moisture is distributed into a thinner and more uniform layer, which scatters light to a much smaller extent.

In practice, this helps:

• keep the surface easier to see through or use,
• reduce the white fog effect,
• avoid the need for regular use of chemical anti-fog products.

The solution works passively. It does not require electricity or any additional installation system.

The outer layer of the film is resistant to scratches and visually similar to glass. In normal conditions, the difference between glass with the film and standard glass is difficult to notice.

Where can anti-fog film be used?

Private interiors

• bathroom mirrors,
• glass shower screens, installed on the outer side,
• interior glazed doors,
• decorative glass elements exposed to periodic humidity.

Commercial and public buildings

• wellness areas, swimming pools and gyms,
• hospitals and medical facilities,
• offices and shopping centres,
• sanitary rooms with high user traffic.

Industrial and production areas

• display windows and doors of cold rooms, installed on the interior room side,
• glazed protective screens at workstations,
• inspection windows in production lines and laboratories.

The film may also be used on selected smooth plastic surfaces, provided that the surface is suitable and properly prepared before installation.

Product limitations

Anti-fog film does not remove the physical cause of condensation, which is the temperature difference between the air and the glass surface. This means that:

• on very cold exterior windows in winter, the effect may be limited,
• the film is not intended for installation on the outside of a building.

In extreme conditions, such as intensive water vapour combined with a low glass temperature, visibility may still be partially reduced. However, it is usually reduced to a lesser extent than on glass without the film.

Installation notes

The film has protective layers on both sides:

1. The protective liner on the adhesive side is removed during installation.
2. The protective layer covering the anti-fog surface is removed after a few days, when the film has properly adhered to the mirror or glass.

This helps protect the functional anti-fog surface during installation and allows the film to settle correctly on the glass.

Anti-fog film vs heated mirror

Heated mirrors reduce condensation by increasing the temperature of the glass. However, they require an electrical installation and use electricity during operation.

Anti-fog film:

• works without power supply,
• does not require changes to the electrical installation,
• is a passive solution,
• can be applied to existing mirrors without replacing them.

The right solution depends on the scale of the fogging problem and the temperature conditions in the room.

Can it also be used on smooth plastic surfaces?

Our anti-fog film can be applied not only to glass, but also to selected smooth plastic elements. This gives it an important advantage over chemical anti-fog products, such as anti-frost or temporary anti-fog preparations, which use active chemical ingredients and may affect glass surfaces or rubber elements holding the glazing.

Does the film remove fogging completely?

In typical bathroom conditions, the film significantly reduces the milky fog effect. With large temperature differences, it may not eliminate condensation completely.
