Plexifol Safety / Protective Film for Polycarbonate – Lite Solar

Plexifol is a safety and protective film for polycarbonate, designed to help protect polycarbonate skylights against mechanical damage.

Plexifol protective film is adapted for exterior installation on polycarbonate skylights. The film has a significant thickness and therefore considerable strength. Even under very strong impacts, it helps hold the polycarbonate structure in place. In addition, Plexifol has a protective layer resistant to scratches and weather conditions.

This makes the film useful wherever polycarbonate rooflights are exposed to mechanical risk, ageing, weather exposure or operational damage. Typical locations include warehouses, production halls, factories, logistics centres, workshops and other commercial or industrial buildings using polycarbonate skylights or roof panels.

Plexifol is intended for polycarbonate surfaces, not ordinary glass. It shows good assimilation with polycarbonate and remains correctly bonded to the polycarbonate sheet throughout its service life. The film helps protect the polycarbonate against damage and, in extreme cases, helps keep damaged material together.

This is especially important in facilities where rooflights are difficult to access or where damage to polycarbonate panels can interrupt normal work. Removable adhesive for easier replacement

A major advantage of Plexifol is its special removable adhesive, which stays on the film. If needed, Plexifol can be removed easily from the skylight. The polycarbonate surface remains clean, so a new film can be applied immediately.

This feature is useful when the protective layer is replaced after wear, damage or long-term outdoor exposure. It helps simplify servicing without leaving the polycarbonate surface contaminated with adhesive residue.
